BERLIN TRAVEL GUIDE

There’s so much to explore in Berlin, so I’ve compiled a list of our favourite things we did during our 3 days. With the summer in full swing, these restaurants and bars are terrace and outdoor focused, to make sure you make the most of the gorgeous weather. I hope you enjoy!

RESTAURANTS:

Otto - https://otto-berlin.net

Where do I begin… probably one of the best dining experiences I have had in a long time. From the wine, the service, the food and the location- it all hit the marks. I cannot recommend this little gem enough. (A must order  is the bread and salted whipped butter and the grilled trout in fermented fish sauce…) Make sure to book ahead!

Barra - https://www.barraberlin.com

The food here was outstanding. Everything they brought us was better than the previous so it was hard to pick a favourite dish.

La Maison - https://www.lamaison.berlin/en/

Feels like being on a terrace in Paris. Very relaxed atmosphere where you see people working, eating or enjoying a Negroni.

Babel Restaurant - Kastanienallee 33, Berlin, Germany, 10435

Homey and comforting lebanese food with large portions. Their outdoor seating is lovely on a sunny day. Cash only.

Le Bon - Boppstraße 1, 10967 Berlin, Germany

Great brunch spot with delicious coffee and outdoor seating.

Fraulein Frost (Ice cream shop) - https://fräulein-frost.de

BARS:

Klunkerkranich - https://klunkerkranich.org

The perfect roof terrace with music, food, drinks and not to mention amazing views. It’s the best place for a sunny day. Follow the signs to the 5th floor, you’ll arrive to the roof of a carpark and eventually find your way inside. It’s a 5euro entry so make sure to get some cash out!

Fuchsbau - https://fuchsbaukreuzberg.de

We loved this place so much (The name became a household staple). Great to watch some football and you can bring food from outside to sit at the tables.

Dschungel - Friedelstraße 12, 12047 Berlin, Germany

Low lit cocktail bar. The cocktails were really nice and a great stop on your bar crawl. Cash only.

Wohnzimmerbar - https://www.wohnzimmerbar.ch/de/bar

This place was super cool because it looked like a furniture store. Every table, chair and lamp was different in every corner. The cocktails were delicious, and the music was great. It’s more of a lounge vibe.

Watergate (very fun Techno club)

BEER GARDENS:

Prater beer Garden - https://www.pratergarten.de/en

Self-service beer garden with over 600 seats. Perfect for outdoor seating on sunny day.

Rosengarten Kulturpavillion - Weinbergsweg 13, 10119 Berlin, Germany

As the name suggests, this outdoor rose garden is perfect a drink or a coffee. There’s also a DJ playing some nice Disco tunes.

Kesselhaus in der Kulturbrauerei - Knaackstraße 97, 10435 Berlin, Germany

We found this spot to watch the 2024 Euros semi-final and it was such an incredible atmosphere.

SHOPPING:

Voo Store - https://voostore.com/en-gb

Contemporary clothing, shoes, homeware & accessories plus a café tucked away in an old locksmith's shop.

Sing Black Bird Vintage - Sanderstraße 11, 12047 Berlin, Germany

They have great vintage pieces for both men and women.

MUSEUMS/ GALLERIES:

Boros Collection - https://www.sammlung-boros.de/en/

A must see! From a bomb shelter to a techno club to an exhibition space, the Boros Bunker is one of Berlin's most fascinating buildings. The Boros Collection is a private collection of contemporary art which includes groups of works by international artists dating from 1990 to the present.

I recommend booking ahead for this as slots tend to fill up quickly.
